      Located on Route 219 a few miles south of Route 66 (and SnowShoe Mtn Resort) Sharp's Bed and Breakfast is at the epicenter of Big Mountain Fun.       Water is available at the old fashioned pump at the store.

        Sharps Historical Country Store, since 1884, is one of the few left in America. It's the oldest store in the county—serving in three centuries. Its rich history was acclaimed and featured in Goldenseal Magazine. We think this enchanting historical store is a notch above the excellent country store displayed in the Charleston Cultural Center. Governors and other statesmen have visited the store and museum. Even Eleanor Roosevelt visited the store in the early 1930s on her way to Dailey.

        Soak up nostalgia. Walk on the squeaky oak floors. The tin ceiling is original as are the 1898 crank phone and the roll-top desk in the office. The store's Free Museum is loaded with a multitude of local artifacts. One of FDR's WPA 1930s toilets still survives here. Bring your camera. You deserve a once in a lifetime visit to a real, old time working general store.
